RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL AMENDING LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH SMITH & ENRIGHT LANDSCAPING FOR THE MONTE BELLA AND NORTH/EAST ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS WHEREAS, on June 22, 2021, the City Council pursuant to Resolution No. 22149 (N.C.S.) approved Maintenance Districts’ Landscape Services Contracts with Smith & Enright Landscaping (“Smith & Enright”); and WHEREAS, on February 15, 2024, Smith & Enright exercised their right to request an extension and rate increase to the North/East District and the Monte Bella District Landscape Services Contracts; and WHEREAS, the North/East District contract term will be extended to June 30, 2026, with an increased not-to-exceed amount of $329,776.92; and WHEREAS, the Monte Bella District contract term will be extended to June 30, 2026, with an increased not-to-exceed amount of $78,624; and WHEREAS, City staff is requesting City Council to authorize the City Manager to execute all Landscape Maintenance Service Contract Amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves the extension and rate increase to the North/East District Landscape Services Contract to end on June 30, 2026, with an annual not-to-exceed amount of $329,776.92; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves the extension and rate increase to the Monte Bella District Landscape Services Contract to end on June 30, 2026, with an annual not-to-exceed amount of $78,624; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute all Landscape Maintenance Service Contract amendments approved in this Resolution.
