A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 5-YEAR PAVEMENT PRESERVATION
STREET LIST
WHEREAS, the City maintains approximately 292 miles of roadway pavement; and WHEREAS, the 2023 Pavement Management Program Update indicated an overall average pavement condition index of 53; and, WHEREAS, street pavement preservation was prioritized based on the Pavement Management and Street Selection Policy; and WHEREAS, the 5-year Pavement Preservation Street Lists were developed assuming an annual pavement budget of $6 million; and WHEREAS, streets or street segments will be added or removed to accommodate actual pavement budget annually; and WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposed streets list is not a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL approves the 5-year Pavement Preservation Street List.
