A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF MONTEREY FOR EVALUATION SERVICES AT MONTEREY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, in September 2024 the Salinas Police Department was awarded an Organized Retail Theft (ORT) Grant in the amount of $3,573,307 from the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC); and WHEREAS, the grant funds an external evaluation to help demonstrate and communicate the effectiveness of the funded project; and WHEREAS, the County of Monterey and the Monterey County Health Department have a history of successful partnerships and experience working on evaluations for BSCC grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute an Agreement with the County of Monterey for ORT Grant related evaluation services at the Monterey County Health Department during the period July 1, 2024 through June 1, 2027 for an amount not to exceed $105,000.
