RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICE CONTRACT FOR HARDEN RANCH DISTRICT WHEREAS, on May 16, 2024, City staff received 2 bids through Planetbids and following an examination of such bids declared the proposals for the Harden Ranch Maintenance District Landscape Services and the Mira Monte, Airport and Woodside Maintenance Districts’ Landscape Service, in accordance with the specifications for such work; and WHEREAS, for the Harden Ranch Maintenance District, the lowest bidder, Brightview Landscape Services, Inc. submitted a total yearly bid of $71,000 and sufficient funds are available to award the contract; and WHEREAS, for the Mira Monte, Airport, and Woodside Maintenance Districts, the lowest bidder, Brightview Landscape Services, Inc. submitted a total yearly bid of $69,019 and sufficient funds are available to award the contract; and WHEREAS, City staff thereupon reported the results of the proposals submitted to the City Council at its regular meeting on June 18, 2024, and the Council in open session at said meeting examined the report of staff; and WHEREAS, Harden Ranch Maintenance District was approved for $71,000 annually with a total contract not to exceed amount of $210,000, a miscalculation for the not to exceed amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code section 12-21, in reference to the Harden Ranch Maintenance District Landscape Services contract, approves a not to exceed amount of $213,000.
