RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AMENDMENT NO. 1 FOR A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION TO THE ON-CALL MASTER SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH PAVEMENT ENGINEERING INC., WITH A NOT TO EXCEED CONTRACT INCREASE OF $100,000.
WHEREAS, in May of 2020 the City of Salinas engaged in a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Citywide comprehensive pavement condition assessment and analysis, and subsequent evaluation of pavement condition and analysis, on-call services for pavement analysis and treatment recommendations, specialized inspection and construction sampling and testing services to support the City’s efforts with pavement rehabilitation and preventative maintenance; and WHEREAS, on August 19, 2020, that the City Manager executed the On-Call Master Service Agreement for pavement management and analysis service with Pavement Engineering Inc., (PEI) in the amount of $200,530, pursuant to Resolution No. 21932; and WHEREAS, the City and PEI desire to extend the On-Call Master Service Agreement for an additional year with a contract increase of $100,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves Amendment No. 1 to the On-Call Master Service Agreement between the City of Salinas and Pavement Engineering Inc. with a not to exceed amount of $300,530; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to enter into the amendment on behalf of the City.
