A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR COOPPERATIVE PROCUREMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO COMPLETE AN AIRPORT ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY FOR THE SALINAS MUNICIPAL AIRORT WHEREAS, the Marina, Watsonville, Hollister, and Salinas Municipal Airports seek to enter into a joint economic impact study similar to the study previously conducted in 2019; and WHEREAS, The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) gives the framework for the cooperative effort to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to acquire the consultant services for the study; and WHEREAS, The MOU provides: the City of Salinas/Municipal Airport shall award its own contract to the selected consultant, no party shall be required to award a contract under the cooperative procurement, and the City of Salinas/Municipal Airport may withdraw from the MOU, without cause, with 30 days written notice.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL that the Memorandum of Understanding for Professional Services to Complete an Airport Economic Study for the Salinas Municipal Airport is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into the MOU on behalf of the City of Salinas PASSED AND APPROVED this 20th day of August 2024 by the following vote:
