RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL PROPOSALS RECEIVED FOR ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE DEMOLITION OF THE OLD POLICE DEPARTMENT BUILDING WHEREAS, on May 10, 2024, the City issued a request for proposals for Engineering and Construction Management Services for the Demolition of the Old Police Department Building; and WHEREAS, representatives of the City Clerk of Salinas on June 3, 2024, at a public meeting held via Zoom meeting from City Hall, at Salinas, California, publicly opened, examined, and declared all proposals delivered electronically via the PlanetBids website for Engineering and Construction Management Services for the Demolition of the Old Police Department Building in accordance with the project specifications; and WHEREAS, the City received a single proposal for the call for engineering and construction management services from CSG Consultants, Inc., for a total cost of $588,862, significantly higher than anticipated and approximately 200% higher than the current available funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby rejects all proposals received for Engineering and Construction Management Services for the Demolition of the Old Police Department Building.
