RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION APPROVING EMERGENCY PUBLIC WORKS YARD SEWER REPAIR WHEREAS, Public Works Facilities Division has been working with the Yard Admin Supervisor on issues pertaining to City Yard Admin women’s restroom; and WHEREAS, on August 8, 2024, the Facilities Division informed the Public Works Yard Admin Supervisor that the sewer line to the women’s restroom had failed; and WHEREAS, replacement of the sewer line was deemed an emergency by the City Manager and repair was authorized to proceed; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 12-27 competitive bidding would further delay ordering and replacing the sewer line; and WHEREAS, E&D Industrial Trades, LLC, dba ACME Plumbing is familiar with the City’s policies and procedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby approves an agreement with E&D Industrial Trades, LLC, dba ACME Plumbing for the emergency sewer line repair in an amount of $39,950 and a 10% contingency amount of $3,995 for a total amount not to exceed amount of $43,945 ; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents related to the Emergency Sewer Line Yard Admin Repair.
