RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTUION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AMENDMENT NO 1 TO AN AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES WITH SMITH & ENRIGHT LANDSCAPING, INC. AND APPROVING AN INCREASE IN COMPENSATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $204,820 WHEREAS, the City and Contractor first entered into an agreement for City-Wide Landscape Services for Greenbelts, Medians, and Roundabouts effective June 14, 2022, pursuant to which Contractor agreed to act as and provide certain services to the City for compensation for unscheduled/extra work (the “Agreement”); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 22387 (N.C.S.) the City Council awarded an agreement to Contractor to include unscheduled/extra work compensation for unforeseen landscape issues that may arise in the City-Wide Landscape Services for Greenbelts, Medians, and Roundabouts; and WHEREAS, The Amendment will allow the City Manager to execute this Amendment for unscheduled/extra work cost increase in the City-Wide Landscape Services for Greenbelts, Medians, and Roundabouts Agreement. The initial unscheduled/extra work increase will be $120,400.00 and may change due to the unpredictability of unforeseen landscape issues that may arise. The revised not to exceed amount for the Agreement will be $365,104.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves additional compensation in the amount of $120,400 for unscheduled/extra work to increase the not to exceed amount of $365,104.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment for unscheduled/extra work cost increases in City-Wide Landscape Services for Greenbelts, Medians, and Roundabouts Agreements.
