A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT #2 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINAS AND WALLACE GROUP FOR THE BORONDA ROAD CONGESTION RELIEF PROJECT PHASE 1 (CIP 9510) WHEREAS, on May 15, 2018, City Council approved the Proposal from Wallace Group for the detailed design phase and related services for the Boronda Road Congestion Relief Phase 1 Project (Phase 1 Project) in accordance with the Master Services Agreement between the City of Salinas and Wallace Group dated October 11, 2017 (Resolution No. 21390); and WHEREAS, the Public Works department has identified the need to utilize engineering design support services to assist the department during the construction phase of the Phase 1 Project; and WHEREAS, Wallace Group is the firm that can best perform the engineering design support services because Wallace designed the Phase 1 Project; and WHEREAS, The 2017 Master Services Agreement expired in October 2022, and on January 10, 2023, City Council approved a new Master Services Agreement between the City and Wallace Group (Resolution No. 22562 and 22964).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALINAS, that the Second Amendment with Wallace Group to provide professional engineering design support services during the construction phase of the Boronda Road Congestion Relief Project Phase 1 (CIP 9510) in an amount not to exceed $199,948 is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute the Second Amendmentwith Wallace Group.
