SALINAS CITY COUNCIL FINANCE COMMITTEE
Tuesday, October 8, 2024
2:00 P.M.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmember Orlando Osornio and Councilmember Anthony Rocha.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Rene Mendez, Finance Director Selina Andrews, Finance Management Analyst Yesenia Nunez, Sustainability Analyst Jeffrey Condit, and Senior Finance Management Analyst Abe Pedroza.
Councilmember Anthony Rocha called the meeting to order at 2:03 p.m.
1. PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
2. MINUTES
The minutes of the September 10, 2024 meeting were approved by motion of Committee Member Osornio, second by Committee Member Rocha.
3. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Solar Project at PD Building and El Gabilan Library
Finance Director Selina Andrews provided a brief introduction and introduced the consultants for the project from Engie. The consultant delivered the presentation, including the City’s existing solar performance, scope and goals of the project, budgetary analysis including financing options, and the next steps. Initiated by Co uncilmember Osornio, seconded by Councilmember Rocha, a motion carried unanimously to bring the item to the full council for further discussion.

Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

The meeting adjourned at 2:16 p.m.
