CLIENT: same as above
Attn: Hernan Munayco
BILLING ADDRESS: same as above

Dear Mr. Munayco:

Following a review of the progress structural drawings , this proposal summarizes the geotechnical observation & testing and special inspection services we are prepared to perform and suggests contract arrangements, as follows:

TYPE OF SERVICES: Geotechnical Observation, Testing & Special Inspection Services

PROJECT TITLE: Hebbron Community Center

SITE LOCATION: 683 Fremont Street
Salinas, California

DESCRIPTION:

The subject project will consist of construction of a new single story family center building at 683 Fremont Street in Salinas, California. Exterior improvements will include new concrete flatwork, new AC pavement, bioretention area, landscaping areas and underground utilities.

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

Based on the progress structural plans dated September 9, 2024, we anticipate the scope of our services will consist of:

These services will be performed in accordance with the attached “General Conditions for CoMET Services”. An estimate of the fees to provide these services is attached to this proposal; however, the total cost will depend upon a number of factors that are beyond our control. Among the cost determining factors are:

➢ The number of working days required by the subcontractors to complete each work element.
➢ The duration of each of our site visits required for inspection of various construction activities.
➢ The number of failing tests, number of welders, location of the fabrication shop, non- conformance items, and/or unidentified structural steel members. ➢ Revisions to scheduled activities that will require additional testing visits, sampling, or laboratory testing.
➢ Deferred items not included in the original estimate (EX: shop location and the need to retain out-of-State 3rd party inspection agencies to provide inspections).

FEE AND CONTRACTUAL ARRANGEMENTS:

We propose to perform these services on a time -and-expense basis in accordance with the attached “Schedule of Charges” and “General Conditions for CoMET Services”. On this basis, we have estimated that the total fee for the scope of services outlined above will be $174,795.

The breakdown of our estimated fee is shown on the attached Fee Estimate and Scope of Services.

Proposal to: Diede Construction PROPOSAL No.23-518
September 25, 2024 Page 3

The fees associated with our inspection services and testing will be based on the actual hours worked.

We will not have any control over the progress of the work or the performance of the subcontractors.

Therefore, all overages on inspection duration per taining to the slower than expected work progress, delays caused by the inclement weather, unanticipated site visits beyond the number estimated herein, longer than assumed duration of the site visits, or a change in the scope of work outlined in this proposal, will be billed with a request for contract extension.

This proposal does not include any allowances for over -time rates pertaining to work on weekends or holidays. A multiplier of 1.5 and 2.0 will be applicable for our technicians for work on Saturdays and Sundays/Holidays, respectively. Over-time rates will also be applicable when and if work extends beyond 8 hours on regular work days.
