A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE JANITORIAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH PEDRO C. ESTRADA DBA ESTRADA JANITORIAL SERVICES WHEREAS, on June 21, 2022, the City issued a request for proposals (“RFP”) for city wide janitorial services at various city facilities; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 22477, the City and Pedro C. Estrada dba Estrada Janitorial Services (“Contractor”) first entered into an agreement for Janitorial Services effective September 20, 2022, for Seven Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand, Nine Hundred Eighty Dollars ($736,980) pursuant to which Contractor agreed to act as and provide certain services to the City for compensation (the “Agreement”); and WHEREAS, the City and Contractor desire to add additional facilities, 940 N Main St (Community Center), 100 West Alisal St (Post Office) 200 Lincoln Ave, City Hall, (Fire Admin) City Hall (Basement), 320 Lincoln Ave (Salinas Rec Center) 11 Station Pl (Train Station) to the scope of service. Contractor hereby agreed to provide the following services: Extra Cleaning to the Facilities, Pressure washing and Added days to service; and WHEREAS, the City and Contractor desire to amend the Agreement to reflect the additional work that will be completed by the end of the contract term and by increasing the annual compensation rate by Sixty-One Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($61,800) for a total amount of compensation of Seven Hundred, Ninety-Eight Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars ($798,780).
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor desire to add additional facilities, 940 N Main St (Community Center), 100 West Alisal St (Post Office) 200 Lincoln Ave, City Hall, (Fire Admin) City Hall (Basement), 320 Lincoln Ave (Salinas Rec Center) 11 Station Pl (Train Station) 100 West Alisal St (Post Office) to the scope of service. Contractor hereby agreed to provide the following services: Extra Cleaning to the Facilities, Pressure washing and Added days to service; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and execute First Amendmentwith Pedro C Estrada DBA Estrada Janitorial Services to add additional facilities and services to the scope of work and to increase the annual compensation by $61,800 for annual not to exceed $798,780.
