RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
RESOLUTION APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE SALINAS FIRE DEPARTMENT AND PUBLIC SAFETY CADETS WHEREAS, the Salinas Fire Department has brought back the Fire and EMS Explorer Program after 20 years; and WHEREAS, the Salinas Fire Department is transitioning to a new partnership organization known as the Public Safety Cadets, a Commonwealth of Virginia Nonstock, Nonprofit, Corporation; and WHEREAS, the Salinas Fire Department is requesting approval to execute the necessary Memorandum of Understanding with the Public Safety Cadets to provide governance, guidance and standard operating procedures to assist the Salinas Fire Department in the operations of the Salinas Fire Explorers Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between the Salinas Fire Department and the Public Safety Cadets.
