RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION DECLARING SPECIFIED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE AUCTION OR DISPOSAL OF THIS EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, the City desires to dispose of surplus technology equipment that has reached the end of its service life; and WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to declare City property surplus and authorize the disposal of such items under Section 12-15 of the Salinas Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, utilizing government auction platforms or approved electronic waste facilities are an efficient way to dispose of outdated technology hardware; and WHEREAS, the items listed on the Information Technology Surplus Hardware List (attached to this Resolution) are of an age and condition that disposal in the most effective method is the most appropriate option; and WHEREAS, the City of Salinas has determined that the proposed action is not a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code section 12-15 the Salinas City Council hereby declares the items on the attached Information Technology Hardware Surplus List as surplus and authorizes the disposal in the most efficient manner as directed by the City Manager consistent with applicable policies, ordinances, and regulations.
