SALINAS CITY COUNCIL FINANCE COMMITTEE
Tuesday, February 11, 2025

COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Donohue, Councilmember Margaret D’Arrigo and Councilmember Gloria De La Rosa.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Rene Mendez, Finance Director Selina Andrews, Assistant City Attorney Rhonda Combs, Fire Chief Sam Klemek, Assistant to the City Manager Jose Arreola, Senior Risk Management Technician Araceli Jacinto, Finance Management Analyst Yesenia Nunez, and Acting Assistant Finance Director Abe Pedroza.
Mayor Dennis Donohue called the meeting to order at 2:04 p.m.

None.
2. MINUTES
The minutes of the November 12, 2024 meeting were approved by motion of Committee Member D’Arrigo, second by Committee Member Donohue.
3. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Insurance Pool Update
Conor Boughey of Alliant, the City's insurance provider through the Authority for California Cities Excess Liability (ACCEL), delivered a presentation on the City's insurance program.
B. FY 2024-25 Mid-Year Budget Review & Supplemental Appropriation Requests
Finance Director Selina Andrews delivered a presentation on the status of the City’s FY 2024-25 budget at the mid- point of the year, including requests for additional appropriations through Council action.
C. Welcome Center Quarterly Report
This item was continued to the March 11, 2025 meeting.

Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
