RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL APPROVING A CONTINGENCY FUND FOR THE HEBBRON FAMILY CENTER DESIGN-BUILD CONTRACT WHEREAS, on March 5, 2024 the City entered into a design-build contract with Diede Construction for the design-build of the Hebbron Family Center; and WHEREAS, a contingency fund was not established at the time of the contract award; and WHEREAS, as construction started soil conditions and sidewalk repairs needed to be addressed that were not part of the design-build project; and WHEREAS, procurement of the appliances was shifted to the design build team; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council, hereby established a contingency fund of $250,000 for the Hebbron Family Center Design-Build Project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute all change orders related to the Hebbron Family Center Design-Build Project.
