RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A MOTION TO APPROVE CIP FUND TRANSFER FOR LAKE STREET LIFT STATION PUMP-1 REPLACEMENT/UPGRADES WHEREAS, on April 8, 2025, the Lake Street Lift Station experienced a pump failure and staff had significant difficulty locating repair kits for the pumps; and WHEREAS, in May 2025, Sanitary Sewer had Fluid Resource Management go out to Lake Street Lift Station and assess possible temporary replacements and upgrades; and WHEREAS, Fluid Resource Management gave a Proposal for a replacement upgrade of the current pump with a Flyght Pump at a cost of $286,280 with an adder for new stainless steel anchorage to accommodate the new pump at a cost of $55,450, for a total not to exceed amount of $341,730; and WHEREAS, to cover expenses, staff would like City Council to approve a transfer of CIP funds in a not to exceed amount of $375,730 from CIP 9010 to CIP 9222.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby approves the transfer of the not to exceed amount of $375,730 from CIP 9010 to CIP 9222.
