RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE SANTA CLARA STADIUM AUTHORITY AND THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Stadium Authority and the City of Santa Clara are interested in contracting with the City of Salinas for the performance of law enforcement functions during periodic major events, as identified within the Municipal Law Enforcement Services Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Agreement formalizes the process for requesting supplemental special detail law enforcement services for major events and establishes a mechanism for reimbursement; and WHEREAS, the Salinas Police Department is agreeable to rendering such supplemental special detail law enforcement services as staffing allows.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Salinas City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a Municipal Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Santa Clara Stadium Authority, a Joint Powers Authority, and the City of Santa Clara for the provision of supplemental special detail law enforcement services during major events at the Santa Clara Stadium site.
