RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE SUPERVISOR & LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM WITH MUNICIPAL RESOURCE GROUP, LLC.
WHEREAS, In June 2025, the City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Supervisor and Leadership Training Program for City of Salinas employees; and WHEREAS, The City selected Municipal Resource Group LLC as the most qualified and responsive consultant to provide the city training and the City entered into a three year agreement with an annual cost of $75,000 for a total amount not to exceed $225,000 for the term of the agreement; and WHEREAS, effective supervision and leadership are critical to service delivery, employee morale, and building a culture of excellence; and WHEREAS, each cohort can accommodate 35 employees, however when the first cohort application period opened, the city received 94 applications to attend the program. To accommodate as many people as possible, the city opened a second cohort of 35 employees for the first year; and WHEREAS, adding the additional cohort to the first year will necessitate a contract amendment for an additional $59,850 for a new not to exceed amount of $284,850 over the term of three years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Supervisor and Leadership Training Program Agreement with Municipal Resource Group LLC, increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $59,850 for a revised not-to-exceed among of $284,850 over the term of three years.
