RESOLUTION NO. 17926 _(N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION DELEGATING LIMITED AUTHORITY TO DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE FUNDING AGREEMENTS WITH THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City of Salinas is eligible to receive Federal and/or State funding for certain Transportation Projects, through the California Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, Following Council approval of the grant application, Master Agreements, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements and/or Fund Transfer Agreements need to be executed with the California Department of . Transportation before such funds can be invoiced for reimbursement; and WHEREAS, the City Council delegates the authority to execute the above stated agreements and any amendments thereto to the City Engineer/Director of Public. Works.
NOW THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF SALINAS,
that the City Engineer/Director of Public Works of Salinas is hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City of Salinas to execute future Agreements between the City of Salinas, a municipal corporation, and the State of California subject to the following conditions:
1. The agreement is for funding from a Council approved grant.
2. The agreement is in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.
3. Sufficient funds are budgeted to pay any costs of the grant..
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of June, 2002, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Barnes, Collins, De La Rosa, Lutes, Ocampo, and Mayor Caballero
