RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO A THREE-YEAR TERM LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC.
WHEREAS, the staff desires to replace the current annual license renewal with a 3-Year license agreement with Environmental Systems Research Institute, INC (ESRI) software.
WHEREAS, the proposed three (3) year License Agreement provides ArcGIS Enterprise extension services such as ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst, ArcGIS Network Analyst, and ArcGIS Image Server, which currently require separate purchases and annual budgeting allocations.
WHEREAS, the proposed three (3) year License Agreement also substantially expands software licensing capacity across the ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise platforms, providing scalable GIS capabilities, improved operational efficiency, and long-term cost savings.
WHEREAS, the three (3) year License Agreement with ESRI Software will have a not to exceed amount of $479,952, paid in annual payments from September 15, 2026 to September 15, 2029.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code section 12-27 the Salinas City Council hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to complete the purchase of ESRI Software for a three-year term, paid in annual payments, in a total amount not to exceed $476,952, from September 15, 2026, to September 15, 2029.
