RESOLUTION NO. _____ (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FUNDS FROM THE CALRECYCLE RUBBERIZED PAVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, on December 13, 2022, the City Council approved Resolution No. 22544 authorizing the submission of applications to CalRecycle for grants and payment programs; and WHEREAS, CalRecycle administers various grants and payment programs in their efforts to reduce, recycle, and reuse solid waste generated in the state; and WHEREAS, on September 9, 2025, City staff applied to CalRecycle’s Rubberized Pavement Grant Program; and WHEREAS, on December 11, 2025, CalRecycle approved funding for the City in the amount of $216,120.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council accepts grant funds from CalRecycle in the amount of $216,120; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a new CIP project called “Bike Path Improvements” is hereby established; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council adopts the following 2025-26 Appropriation and Funding Sources in the Capital Improvement Program:
Increase the estimated revenue from State Government appropriation by $216,120; and Establish the expenditure appropriation by $216,120 for a Bike Path Improvements CIP.
