1 RESOLUTION NO. 22911 (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION OF THE SALINAS CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE HEBBRON FAMILY CENTER DESIGN BUILD CONTRACT TO DIEDE CONSTRUCTION, INC.
WHEREAS, on August 8, 2023 the City issued a request for qualifications (“RFQ”) for The design build of the Hebbron Family Center; and
WHEREAS, qualifications where received on September 9, 2023 from seven (7) contractors; and
WHEREAS, a total of 4 contractors were selected to submit proposals for the design build project; and
WHEREAS, on December 22, 2023, a request for proposals (RFP) was issued to the four (4) qualified contractors; and
WHEREAS, on January 6, 2024, one proposal was received from Diede Construction, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the proposal was reviewed and an interviewed was con ducted and it was determined that Diede Construction, Inc. met all the requirements of the RFP; and
WHEREAS, in order to have adequate funds available $2,000,000 from Park Irrigation Upgrades CIP 3911.55.8191 will be moved to the Hebbron Family Center CIP 3911.55.9165.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council , pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code Section 12-21, in reference to The Hebbron Family Center Design Build Project contract, that the proposal from Diede Construction Inc., being qualified is hereby accepted. The subject contract agreement is hereby awarded to Diede Construction Inc. for the sum of 10,579,600.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $2,000,000 from Park Irrigation Upgrades CIP 3911.55.8191 will be moved to the Hebbron Family Center CIP 3911.55.9165; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of Salinas is hereby authorized to enter into the Design Build Agreement on behalf of the City.
