Tow Service Franchise Agreement Amendment No. 1
This Amendment to the FY 2025-26 Tow Service Franchise Agreement is entered into this 30th day of June, 2026, by and between the City of Salinas, a California charter city and municipal corporation hereinafter referred to as the “City,” and , hereinafter referred to as the “Franchise Tow Company.” WHEREAS, the City of Salinas, through its Police Department, manages a rotational tow program to support the Police Department’s operations and enforcement of the law; and WHEREAS, the Franchise Tow Company provides service to the Salinas Police Department pursuant to a franchise issued by the City and a Tow Service Franchise Agreement entered into between the City and the Franchise Tow Company; and WHEREAS, the City and the Franchise Tow Company last entered into a Tow Service Franchise Agreement on July 1, 2025, which agreement is set to expire on June 30, 2026 (the “FY 2025-26 Tow Service Franchise Agreement”); and WHEREAS, the City and the Franchise Tow Company desire to extend the FY 2025-26 Tow Service Franchise Agreement in order for the City and the Franchise Tow Company to continue working to resolve outstanding issues related to the City’s rotational tow program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City and the Franchise Tow Company desire to amend the FY 2025-26 Tow Service Franchise Agreement as follows:
The Term of the FY 2025-26 Tow Service Franchise Agreement is hereby extended through December 31, 2026.
All other covenants, terms, and conditions of the FY 2025-26 Tow Service Franchise Agreement and associated Resolution not specifically amended herein shall be fully incorporated herein by this reference and shall remain in full force and effect through the term of this Amendment.
