RESOLUTION NO. 21979 (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECT PURCHASE OF SPEED CUSHIONS
FROM TRAFFIC LOGIX
WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Project 9163 (Traffic Calming) funds are allocated to reduce speeding and reduce traffic volumes in neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, Speed Cushion from Traffic Logix have been installed at various neighborhoods throughout the City of Salinas as part of the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council may approve this purchase pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code Sections 12-25 (cooperative purchases) and 12-27 (purchases without notice, advertising or competitive bids) in contracting for equipment, materials, supplies and services; and without application of the local purchasing preference pursuant to Salinas Municipal Code Section 12 -
28.080.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council approves the direct purchase Traffic Logix speed cushions for approved Traffic Calming projects as specifi ed in the Staff Report and the attachments thereto which accompany this Resolution, using funding from CIP 9163.
