RESOLUTION NO. (N.C.S.)
A RESOLUTION APPROVING ADJUSTMENTS TO THE BIENNIAL (2026/27 – 2027/28) BUDGET WHEREAS, on June 16, 2026, City Council adopted the Biennial (2026/27 – 2027/28) budget, expressing interest in funding additional programs and initiatives; and WHEREAS, on August 11, 2026, the Finance Committee directed staff to move certain recommended operating budget and infrastructure improvement initiatives forward to City Council; and WHEREAS, on August 18, 2026, City Council met and reviewed staff’s recommended budget adjustments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council hereby approves supplemental expenditure appropriations to the Biennial (2026/27 – 2027/28) budget through the use of fund balance and the infrastructure maintenance reserve (use of reserve requires 2/3 vote) as detailed on the staff report.
