RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CALIFORNIA LIBRARY LITERACY SERVICES GRANT AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $217,832 IN SUPPORT OF ADULT LITERACY, AND AUTHORIZE RECEIPT OF FUNDS WHEREAS, the California Library Literacy Services granted funding in the amount of $217,832 in support of Adult and Family Literacy programs for Salinas Public Library; and WHEREAS, this grant will support the Library’s Adult and Family Literacy programs and provide greater learning opportunities that match the needs of our community; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salinas City Council accepts the California Library Literacy Services (CLLS) block grant award in the amount of $217,832 and authorizes the establishment of the CLLS – Adult and Family Literacy fund expenditure appropriation totaling $217,832 and corresponding revenue appropriation to support grant activities; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute all grant acceptance documents with the California State Library.
