TITLE: 2027 HOUSING AND LAND USE COMMITTEE CALENDAR
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
A motion to approve the 2027 Housing and Land Use Committee Calendar.
DISCUSSION:
The Housing and Land Use Committee (HLUC) currently convenes on a monthly schedule. In 2027, meetings will be held on Tuesdays of each month as outlined on the attached draft calendar. The selected dates align with the Department’s State and Federal mandated submission requirements. The 2027 HLUC calendar balances meeting frequency with the volume and complexity of pending items while maintaining the Committee’s capacity to respond to emerging issues as needed.
The proposed schedule will also provide adequate time for staff report preparation, interdepartmental review, and Committee deliberation prior to forwarding recommendations to the City Council. While meetings may still be cancelled, rescheduled, or added as needed in accordance with Brown Act provisions, adoption of this proposed calendar establishes a clear and practical framework for planning and public notification purposes.
