Town Council Agenda January 23, 2024
2 2.1 Live on the Avenue 2023 Recap & Review. The proposed project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), under the “common sense” exemption, because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment. (Cal. Code Regs. tit. 14, § 15061).

2.2 Consider the Appointment of Two Council Members to the Memorial Park Master Plan Subcommittee. The Town finds this project to be categorically exempt from the requirement for the preparation of environmental documents under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 Class 1, because it involves repair of existing public facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use. (14 Cal.

Code Regs. § 15301).

2.3 For the Council to Review the List of Town Council Committee Assignments and Make Appointments for 2024. Making Council appointments to local committees is not a "project" under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), because it does not involve an activity that has the potential to cause a direct or seasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. (Cal. Pub. Res. Code 21065).

In general, the following procedural order applies to items of business:
•Presentation
•Town Council questions
•PUBLIC COMMENT – limited to 3 minutes/person
•Town Council discussion/action
