Congratulations! San Bernardino has been selected to participate in the Love Your Block program's 2024-2026 city cohort. We are thrilled to welcome you to the network of cities across the United States that are building stronger, more resilient neighborhoods, one block at a time.
As a Love Your Block grantee, your city will receive $100,000 from Johns Hopkins University over the next two years to hire a Love Your Block Fellow and bring to life community-led revitalization projects. Your city will also host a dedicated AmeriCorps VISTA member who will help grow the impact of your city's Love Your Block team.
San Bernardino's strong application and clear commitment to engaging residents and community partners in positive neighborhood change inspired our team at the Center. We look forward to working together and supporting your work to improve the lives of people.
As a next step, your team will receive an email with onboarding information and an invitation to join the mandatory Love Your Block Welcome & Onboarding Webinar for the Love Your Block Teams from new grantee cities.
Please note that your city's acceptance and participation in Love Your Block is to remain confidential until the cohort is publicly announced by the team at the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins.
