PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Pro-Tem Juan Figueroa led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
PUBLIC COMMENTS FOR ITEMS LISTED ON THE AGENDA
Christian T. Shaughnessy spoke in support of Rochelle Clayton, highlighting her years of competent work and stating it would be great to have her serve as city manager.
Carlos Gonzalez, Teamsters Local 1932, urged the council to appoint a permanent city manager, stressing that leadership and stability was essential for upcoming contract negotiations, employee morale, and overall city progress.
Kimberly Calvin, former council member, urged the council to prioritize stability by appointing Acting City Manager Clayton permanently, citing her effective service. She criticized past leadership decisions and warned that continued dysfunction would harm the city, and that the council would be held accountable.
At 5:39 PM the Mayor and City Council convened into closed session.

The next joint regular meeting of the Mayor and City Council and Mayor and City Council Acting as the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Feldheym Central Library located at 555 West 6 th
Street, San Bernardino, California 92401. Closed Session will begin at 4:00 PM and Open Session will begin at 5:00 PM.
