Background
On July 19, 2023, the City Council approved a Maintenance Services Agreement with the Center for Employment Opportunities Inc. (CEO) for right-of-way clean-up and weed abatement services throughout the City. The Agreement established an initial term through June 30, 2024, with four additional one-year renewal options. The original contract specified an annual not-to-exceed amount of $1,014,340.
Since approval of the Agreement, two purchase orders have been issued under this contract. The first purchase order was set up on December 23, 2023, for $1,014,340 and expended $913,800. The second purchase order was set up on August 20, 2024, for $1,014,340 and expended the entire amount of $1,014,340. The cumulative amount expended to date is $1,928,140.

No changes are being made to the scope of services, pricing, or terms of the existing contract.
The Center for Employment Opportunities has provided reliable and cost-effective maintenance services that help maintain public rights-of-way, improve City appearance, and enhance community safety and cleanliness. 2021-2025 Strategic Targets and Goals
