RE: District Budget Request (City of San Bernardino)
Dear Chair Ting:
This letter is to respectfully request a budget allocation of $3 million to assist the City of San Bernardino to develop General Plan amendments.
Developed in 2005, the City's General Plan vision and direction consists of the following:
• Experience a new era of collaboration with an attitude of entrepreneurship and action • Tap into the Inland Empire's dynamic economy
Deal with new fiscal realities
• Develop a distinct personality both at a community wide and a neighborhood level Realize quality housing in safe and attractive neighborhoods • Enhance cultural, recreational, and entertainment opportunities Provide quality education at all levels
• Maintain a collective sense of community pride
This allocation will go a long way to support a city in my 40# Assembly District that is committed to establishing long-term goals, policies and strategies that positions the city to continue to run efficiently and serves to provide the best quality of life for residents.
