Subject: Personnel Commission Appointment of Jeanine M. Ferrell (Mayor’s Appointment)
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Bernardino, California, approve the appointment of Jeanine M. Ferrell to the Personnel Commission representing the Mayor’s appointment. Jeanine M. Ferrell will replace Donna P. Howard. Council Staff has verified that appointee is a registered voter within the City.
Executive Summary
It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Bernardino, California, approve the appointment of Jeanine M. Ferrell to the Personnel Commission representing the Mayor’s appointment.
Background
The Personnel Commission was established under Charter Section 604 and is responsible for hearing appeals of disciplinary action filed by classified City employees.
The commission is composed of five (5) members who shall be appointed by a vote of the Mayor and entire City Council, as provided for in section 304(b) of the Charter, to serve without compensation.
