290 North D St, San Bernardino, CA 92401 | P: 909-998-2000 | www.SanBernardino.gov

1. The proposed use is conditionally permitted within and would not impair the integrity and character of the subject zone and complies with all of the applicable provisions of this Development Code.

The proposed Martin Luther King Day parade and extravaganza event will take place within ne Downtown Commercial Regional-2 (CR-2) zone that allows a Special Event with th pplicable Special Event Permit and Conditions of Approval. The location, route, size an design of the parade and event complies with all of the applicable provisions of the Development Code.

2. The proposed development is consistent with the General Plan.

The City of San Bernardino General Plan Economic Development Policy 4.15.2 states "Continue to promote "identity-building' events such as 'Route 66', 'Citrus", etc." The proposed Martin Luther King Day parade and Extravaganza will be unique in nature as it will bring the community together to identify with one another and establish comradery within the community via a cultural event. 5. The location, size, design, and operating characteristics of the proposed use are compatible with the existing and future land uses within the general area which the proposed use is to be located and will not create significant noise, traffic or other conditions or situations that may be objectionable or detrimental to other permitted uses in the vicinity or adverse to the public health, safety, convenience, or welfare of the City.
