RESOLUTION NO. 2026-017
RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN
BERNARDINO FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF $100,000
FROM THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS TO ASSIST THE SAN BERNARDINO
POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH THE PURCHASE OF A
TACTICAL ROBOT AND THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO AMEND THE
APPLICABLE FISCAL YEAR OPERATING BUDGET IN
THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 IN BOTH REVENUE AND
EXPENDITURES.
WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino Board of Supervisors has agreed to provide $100,000 of County funding.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with the County of San Bernardino for the acceptance of $100,000 from the County funds, for the purchase of a tactical robot,
SECTION 3. Authorize the Director of Finance and Management Services to amend the fiscal year Adopted Budget increasing revenue and expenditures by $100,000.
SECTION 4. The Mayor and City Council find that this Resolution is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because the activity is covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects that have the potential to cause a significant effect on the environment. Where it can be seen with certainty, as in this case, that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA.
SECTION 5. Severability. If any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately.
