Transformative Climate Communities
Dear SGC:

On behalf of the City of Ontario, I would like to express our support for GRID Alternatives' application for the Transformative Climate Communities Round 5 funding Strategy 4: Solar Installation and Energy Efficiency program.

The City of Ontario is a Round 1 TCC recipient and incorporated both multi-family solar and single- family solar installations as part of the programs supported by TCC.

The City of Ontario has been a proud partner of GRID Alternatives over the past 4 years. We have witnessed how the solar electric systems installed have generated significant household savings for low- income families in the communities we serve. GRID Alternatives has also created broad community engagement through consumer education, and installations staffed with volunteers and job trainees learning valuable solar skills while helping low-income families.

As a mission-aligned and values-driven organization, we believe GRID has the necessary skills and experience to effectively perform the objectives detailed in their grant application and will do so in a manner that maximizes the value to participants and communities. The City of Ontario supports GRID Alternatives' bid for this funding and appreciates your leadership on ensuring equitable access to solar energy.

Sincerely,
Latryna
