Welcome to a meeting of the Charter Review Committee of the City of San Bernardino.
➢ Verbal public comments will be in person. Anyone who wishes to speak during public comments or on a particular item will be required to fill out a speaker slip.
Speaker slips must be turned into the Staff Liaison. You may email your request to speak to [email protected] prior to 4:00 PM on the day of the meeting. ➢ Written comments on any item must be sent to [email protected] by 4:00 PM the day of the scheduled meeting but will not be read aloud. ➢ Those who wish to speak on items will have three minutes for each item. ➢ All who wish to speak, including Commissioners and staff, need to be recognized by the Chairperson or Vice Chairperson before speaking. ➢ Please contact Cory Hodges, 909-998-2005, two working days prior to the meeting for any requests for reasonable accommodation to include interpreters. ➢ All documents for public review are on file with the City Clerk’s Office or may be accessed online by going to www.sbcity.org

Recommendation: Approve the draft minutes from the March 25, 2026, Charter Review Committee Regular Meeting.
DISCUSSION
2. Role, Powers, and Duties of the Mayor
Recommendation: Discuss the role of the Mayor as outlined in the City of San Bernardino Charter.
3. Improving the Council-Manager form of Government
Recommendation: Discuss opportunities to improve the council -manager form of government.
4. City Charter Public Outreach
Recommendation: Discuss strategies for enhancing community engagement and public awareness of the City Charter
public outreach.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The next Regular Meeting of the Charter Review Committee will be held on May 27, 2026.
