THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
HONORING THE RETIREMENT OF
RICHARD H. HART, MD, DRPH
IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
WHEREAS, Richard H. Hart, MD, DrPH has dedicated an extraordinary career to advancing the mission of Loma Linda University Health, a globally respected institution known for its commitment to whole-person care, education, and service; and
WHEREAS, through years of distinguished leadership, clinical excellence, and unwavering compassion, Dr. Hart has made a lasting impact on patients, students, colleagues, and the broader Inland Empire community; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Hart’s service at Loma Linda University Health reflects a deep commitment to healing, innovation, and the advancement of healthcare, contributing to improved outcomes and strengthened community well-being; and
WHEREAS, as a respected leader within Loma Linda University Health, Dr. Hart has helped shape the organization’s vision and uphold its values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, compassion, and wholeness; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Hart’s legacy includes mentoring future generations of healthcare professionals and fostering a culture of service that extends far beyond the walls of the institution; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Hart will conclude his distinguished service upon retirement on June 30, 2026, marking the culmination of a remarkable career dedicated to improving lives and strengthening the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino recognizes and celebrates the profound contributions Dr. Hart has made to the region and expresses its gratitude for a career defined by dedication, leadership, and service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mayor and the City Council of San Bernardino do hereby honor and congratulate Richard H. Hart, MD, DrPH on the occasion of his retirement and extend best wishes for his continued health, happiness, and fulfillment in his next chapter.
