City of San Bernardino
Pavement Rehabilitation at Six Major Arterial Locations RFQ F-26-4072 Q&A Deadline April 15, 2026 3:00 PM (PDT)
Set 1 Released via Email 04/24/2026 1:56 PM (PDT) - 2 questions

1.1 Hi, Is there an engineer estimation for the project's cost? -Thanks Answer 9.5 Million

1.2 The scope of work is not clearly defined in the bid documents. Will a complete set of plans be released that delineates the improvements to be constructed? While we note that various locations are identified in Appendix C, the documents do not clearly define the limits of work or typical construction details. Specifically, there is no typical section indicating aggregate base (AB) thickness, asphalt concrete (AC) thickness, or exact paving limits. Additionally, the documents do not clearly identify where concrete improvements are required or the extent of those improvements. Please provide clarification and any additional plans, details, or specifications necessary to accurately understand the scope of work and prepare a complete and competitive bid.

Answer The limits are provided within the bid package as identified in Appendix ''C"". Exact limits will be marked by the Engineer in the field during the project. Signing and Striping plans and Traffic Control Plans for limits by Caltrans R/W will be provided in Addendum No. 1. The sections for the aggregate base (AB) and asphalt concrete (AC) thickness and quantity per street segment location are included in the Appendix ""G"" in the revised Quantity Table(s) in Addendum No. 1. The quantities for the concrete improvements per street segment location are also provided in the revised Quantity Table(s).

Exact locations for concrete improvements, including ramps and cross gutters, will be indicated in Addendum No. 1 under the revised Quantity Tables). Locations for other concrete improvements, such as sidewalk and Type A and B curb, will be marked by the Engineer in the field during construction.
