By signing below as indicated, Rick Engineering Company (“Consultant”) is authorized to expend an additional $77,200, bringing the total amount authorized as of this date to $321,200 to perform work in conjunction with our contract, dated September 4, 2025. The additional scope and fees are described below.
Additional Scope of Work:
1. Precise Grading Plan Revisions –
Consultant will provide revisions to plans due to additional coordination and reviews not included in the original contract. Revisions include revisions to the onsite fire lane width, coordination on ADA and EVCS parking stalls and path of travel, addition of signing and striping sheet, coordination on earthwork and drainage under buildings with addition of infiltration devices, and providing quantities related to building footings (not part of our scope of work) as requested by City Engineer.
Schedule also extended beyond the initial December 2025 timeframe which includes additional coordination time. Review of plans by Building & Safety was not included in original scope. Scope will include two rounds of review by Building & Safety.
Scope does not include any other items that are not specifically mentioned hereon.

2. Landscape Architecture Design Services –
RICK’s Landscape department will provide plan revisions for SB Hope Navigation Center. The following scope of work reflects the anticipated design tasks and coordination efforts required to support the project.
Services will include the following key tasks:
a. Redesign and revisions to construction, planting, and irrigation plans to reflect the removal of the tot lot play area.
b. Plan revisions required to accommodate the widening of the fire lane.

3. Additional Processing of WR Technical Reports
Consultant will provide additional processing of WR Technical Reports with the City of San Bernardino and the design team. The original contract assumed up to two submittals, while additional interim submittals were requested to meet the project schedule, entailing up to 5 submittals in total. Included in this effort are adjustments to the calculations and technical exhibits to document the shifting design over the course of the additional interim submittals.

4. Construction Administration –
Consultant will attend one (1) pre-construction meeting, assist in answering project RFP’s that are related to the engineering plans, and assist in change orders. Consultant will conduct four (4) site visits to observe construction of project and attend up to four (4) site meetings (assumes 2-hours each) and sixteen (16) teleconferences (assumes 1- hour each). A budget of eighty (80) hours has been assumed for this task.

5. Landscape Construction Administration –
A. Submittals, RFI’s, and Construction Site Observations - To ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications, RICK will coordinate with the development team, general contractor, and landscape subcontractor to resolve issues in a timely and cost-effective manner. RICK will provide responses to RFIs and submittals, as well as conducting three (3) site observations. Site visits include one (1) construction site observation report during construction. Maintenance and establishment period site $11,000

Specific responsibilities include:
• Responses to requests for information (RFI).
• Submittal review.
• Design clarifications and construction changes.
• Site observations: one (1) visit during construction. • Pre-final maintenance walkthrough.
• Final maintenance walkthrough.
(at the completion of 90-day maintenance period).
Deliverables:
• Responses to RFl’s.
• Responses to submittals.
• Construction observation reports.
o Site construction observation report – one (1).
o Pre-final maintenance walkthrough report - one (1).
Final maintenance walkthrough report at the completion of the 90-day maintenance period - one (1).
6. Verification of BMP Completion [IF REQUESTED] –
Consultant will perform up to two (2) site visits (one during construction and one post-construction) to observe that the site improvements for the project have been constructed in conformance with the approved storm water quality management documents and construction plans.
The approved Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP) and grading plans for the project will be used to verify if field conditions reflect the intended drainage areas and locations of the applicable pollutant control BMP. We anticipate this task includes up to two (2) site visits for verification of one (1) infiltration vault BMP and up to four (4) pre- treatment devices. If the field conditions are not found to be in conformance, then the specific items of concern will be discussed with the client/owner so corrective measures can be implemented or alternative solutions can be discussed which may require subsequent revisions to the design reports and plans. This also includes completion of the City of San Bernardino BMP Completion form, as applicable $4,000
All other provisions of the original contract are to remain unchanged.
