SAN BRUNO CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
September 13, 2022

1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Councilmembers Hamilton, Medina, Salazar, Vice Mayor Mason and Mayor R. Medina were all present.
3. PUBLIC COMMENTS FOR ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA
No members of the public wished to speak under Public Comment.
4. CLOSED SESSION
a. Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation Significant Exposure to Litigation Pursuant to Government code Section 54956.9(d)(2) - One Case No members of the public wished to speak under Consent Calendar MIS Hamilton/Salazar to approve the consent calendar. The motion passed unanimously.
5. CONDUCT OF BUSINESS
a. Introduce, Read by Title Only and Waive Further Reading of the following Ordinances of the City of San Bruno:
• An Ordinance of the City of San Bruno Amending Chapter 11.02 (Administrative and Referenced Standards Code) of Title 11 (Buildings, Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference the 2022 California Referenced Standards Code and the 2022 Administrative Code; and • An Ordinance of the City of San Bruno Amending Chapter 11 .04 (Building Code) of Title 11 (Buildings, Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference the 2022 California Building Code Volumes 1 & 2, the 2022 Historical Building Code, and the 1997 Uniform Housing Code; and • An Ordinance of the City of San Bruno Adopting Chapter 11.06 (Energy Code) of Title 11 (Buildings, Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference the 2022 California Energy Code; and • An Ordinance of the City of San Bruno Adding Chapter 11.07 (Green Building Code) of Title 11 (Buildings, Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference the 2022 California Green Building Code; and • An Ordinance of the City of San Bruno Amending Chapter 11.08 (Mechanical Code) of Title 11 (Buildings, Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference the 2022 California Mechanical Code; and • An Ordinance of the City of San Bruno Adding Chapter 11.10 (Residential Code) of Title 11 (Buildings, Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference the 2022 California Residential Code; and City Council - Special Meeting Minutes

Assistant City Manager Smith presented a portion of the item to the City Council and answered questions.
Fire Marshal Schlice also presented a portion of the item to the City Council.

M/S Hamilton/M. Medina to introduce, read by title only and waive further reading of the ordinances with a requirement to amend Municipal Code Title 11 Chapter 11 .10.020 Sub Section B. Section R 341.5 to add contact information for the Building Division including a phone number , also to adopt the resolution.
b. Introduce, Read by Title Only and Waive Further Reading of the Following Ordinances of the City of San Bruno:
• An Ordinance of the City of San Bruno Amending Chapter 11 .06 (Energy Code) of Title 11 (Buildings, Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code and Adopting by Reference the 2022 California Energy Code; and • An Ordinance ofthe City of San Bruno Amending Chapter 11.07 (Green Building Code) of Title 11 (Buildings, Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code and Adopt ing by Reference the 2022 California Green Building Code; and • Set Public Hearing on Adoption of Ordinances for October 11 , 2022.
Assistant City Manager Smith gave a brief overview of the item and introduced Community & Economic Development Department Management Analyst Radha Mehta.
Management Analyst Mehta presented the item to the City Council.

c. Introduce , Read by Title Only, and Waive Further Reading of an Ordinance Amendi ng Chapter 11 .40 (Floodpla in Management) of Title 11 (Buildings , Construction and Fire Protection) of the San Bruno Municipal Code Establishing Floodpla in Management Requirements .
Assistant City Manager Smith gave a brief overview of the item and introduced Analyst Mehta.

6. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 6;14 p.m. The next Regular City Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
