1. I would like to know how the figures presented below relate to each other. They don’t seem to follow from the vendor proposal to the staff memo.

• The information on Pages 151 and 155 are from the LAZ quote. They include a projected cost for parking meters and ALPR technology. These are components of the Phase 2 portion of the project (installation and operation of parking meters) and will not be included in Phase 1, which only coves parking enforcement services. ▪ Additionally, our approach to parking meters has pivoted since the initial LAZ quote. Instead of single meters, we are planning to recommend kiosks meters where appropriate and will be recommending an expansion of the parking meter zone as part of Phase 2 to include portions of El Camino Real and other City parking lots. As such, the portion of the LAZ quote related to parking meters is of no relevance to the estimated cost of the meter portion of this project at this point.
• As for the discrepancy in the estimated monthly cost for LAZ services, the figure in the chart from the staff report represents the effort to incorporate all known expenses into one number, whereas the number in the LAZ chart is for enforcement services only and does not include vehicles, ticket writers, ALPR, etc. Staff believes that the numbers used in the staff report chart are the most accurate estimations of the expected costs.
