SAN BRUNO CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
January 24, 2023
5:30 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Councilmembers Alvarez, Medina, Salazar, Vice Mayor Hamilton and Mayor R. Medina were all present.
3. PUBLIC COMMENTS FOR ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA
The following members of the public addressed the City Council during Public Comment:
No members of the public wished to address the City Council under Public Comment.
4. STUDY SESSION
a. Conduct Study Session and Provide Direction Regulations for Outdoor Dining Facilities in City Streets and on Private Property.
Assistant City Manager Smith gave a presentation and answered questions .
Public Works Deputy Director Ritchie gave a presentation and answered questions.
Community & Economic Development Director Gilli gave a presentat ion and answered questions .
City Manager Grogan answered questions .
Member of the public/owner of the Rib Shack Restaurant spoke in favor of outdoor dining.
Member of the public/owner of the Camino Corner Restaurant spoke in favor of outdoor dining.
Member of the public Virginia Yanke spoke in favor of outdoor dining .
Member of the public/owner of the Celia's Restaurant spoke in favor of outdoor dining .
M/S R. Medina/Hamilton to direct staff to bring this item back to council as a process and regulations that can be brought to the Planning Commission then back to the City Council to be finalized . The motion passed unanimously.
5. ADJOURNMENT
This meeting adjourned at 6:52 p.m. The next Regular City Council Meeting will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
