8. COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORT OUT
Vice Mayor Hamilton:
* Attended Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation special meeting on September 27.
Main reservoir is at 96% capacity. Most of the state's reservoirs are in a similar state and only a tiny fraction of the state has any level of measurable drought. YTD precipitation is at 200% and snow has already begun to fall at Tuolumne Meadows.
Discussed the ongoing scoping for the long term reliable water supply 2045 plan and scoping method is expected to be completed in May 2024 with the intent to secure consulting services to develop the plan to begin in new fiscal year in July 2024. Also met in closed session regarding ongoing litigation and annual performance review for BAWSCA's CEO. Supposed to do compensation portion for CEO but was delayed to be conducted during a regular meeting.
Mayor R. Medina:
* On September 26, being Chair of ALS JPA was invited to see the County Dispatch Center and how it operates. There were dispatchers that were San Bruno residents. * On October 4, SamTrans approved scope of work for north base, building 200 which is near the South City Costco area and is needing repair. Another element is the sea level rise because it is a bit of an island and they talked about possibly applying for grant funding which South San Francisco would be a major partner but maybe could benefit the City of San Bruno.

* On October 5, Caltrain hosted the electrification train in San Francisco. They've done one in San Jose and now in San Francisco. There was over 4,500 responses to go and see the train. It is amazing to see it and there will be one in the county uh I'm sorry in the uh County of San Mateo and that will be at some point next year. The transportation board did receive on the 5th, grants from Caltrans and adding some Measure Funds to do some transportation planning. The money will help fund development designed to improve crossing and intersections for pedestrian, cyclists, and Transit Riders within a quarter mile of Highway 101.

This was the first time I went to the League of California Cities. It was primarily a bunch of different seminars and workshops to go over hot topics that are being covered currently in our state. Attended Getting Recertified For Public Service Ethics Laws And Principles, Navigating New State Housing Laws, Adapting Main Street for a Changing Retail Landscape, How to Solve Big City Problems in Small Towns.
Vice Mayor Hamilton:
Second time attending and found it very valuable. Attended sessions on building during economically troubling times like we are in today. It was a rewarding experience and appreciate these opportunities to learn from our peers across the state who are facing the same problems that we do and learning from experts.
Mayor R. Medina:
Attended AB1234 which is the ethics and principles, Fees You Got Them How Do They Work Today, The Case Study in response to Homeless in a City, What the Bleep Public Comment, After the Storm, Lessons Learned. Also Prevention Training for Supervisor and Elected Officials. There was also peninsula division breakfast which is our region, our County and Santa Clara. Had lunch with Embark which is the applicant who was awarded the next phase in which to begin the process. Also spoke to recruiter that recruited for the city manager's position. Councilmember M. Medina:
Capuchino football is undefeated going into this week.
Mayor R. Medina:
Two weeks ago went to Capuchino, at lunch talked to some of the football players and they're feeling very confident but reminded them until it's over, it's not over.
On September 26 went to Tanforan Cinemax and met the General Council of Tonga and also met the main actor in the movie Red White and Brass. Gave a certificate of recognition to JP.
