Good day,
I’m Saira Cardoza and I am a resident of San Bruno.
I understand the City is preparing for the budget for fiscal year, I would like to see Forest Lane be a priority. To many this may not be a priority but to my neighborhood it is, listed below are some of the improvements my neighbors and I would like to see.
Playground equipment
The equipment is old and you are interested in updated facilities including a new structure for younger age groups.
ADA access
The pathways throughout the park are not in compliance with ADA requirements. It is my understanding there is a compliance plan but I am not aware of the compliance schedule.
Dog Park
The neighborhood has a growing number of younger families with and without dogs.
You expressed fencing off an area to create a dog park.
Basketball Court
You expressed a need to place a low fence to keep the balls from going out to the street.
Resurfacing the basketball area should be considered.
Benches
Apparently the benches were removed many years ago and there is not many places for families to gather.
Maintenance and tree pruning
A number of trees have dead branches and the bushes are overgrown.
Please provide me the next steps to ensure my request is heard and addressed. I can be reached at @ .
Best regards.

Subject: Age-Friendly Communities Item - City Council Agenda - January 23, 2024 Date: Tuesday, January 23, 2024 6:35:47 PM
Since I will probably not be able to attend tonight’s meeting in person, I wanted to provide my comments for the Council’s consideration.
First, I want to thank the Council for approving my participation. This has been a challenging and rewarding experience and has given me another opportunity to serve our community Second, I support the application that the great people I worked with on this task force developed. We went to great length to involve the community and hear a great number of ideas and perspectives.
Third, we were always sensitive to the fact that San Bruno as with most other cities, does not have the resources and staffing to accomplish many of the important things council and staff would like to do. We tried to identify initiatives that could be supported by the community, other institutions (especially our schools), nonprofit contributors, and local businesses.
We collected a lot of great and practical ideas and objectives. I hope you agree and will support the application we prepared for you.
Thank you,
John McGlothlin
