Carpenters Local 217 Public Benefit Concerns re 11/12 scheduled TEFRA Hearing Attachments: Carpenters Local 217_Public Benefit Concerns re 11.12 TEFRA Hearing.pdf Importance: High
To the members of San Bruno City Council,
Carpenters Local 217 is writing regarding tonight's Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA) hearing connected to financing for a substantial housing project at 840 San Bruno Avenue W, San Bruno.

Local 217 wishes to alert the City Council to the project’s lack of discernable public benefit to local workers, as well as remind Council of its legal discretion to deny approval of the bond issuances in question. In exercising its discretion, Local 217 also reminds the City Council of the need to observe the democratic nature of TEFRA procedures.

Please find more on the above points in the attached letter.

Thank you in advance for your engagement. We will remain available to answering any questions.

Sincerely,

Subject: Parking in San Bruno

Good afternoon.

I can’t come to meeting tonight but am concerned about the paid parking situation. 1) No where on the Peninsula do meters go after 6 pm.
2) Sundays are usually free parking on the Peninsula which would be good for restaurants. 3) Parking on El Camino? Why. Thought it was owned by Cal Trans.

I think merchants are suffering because no one wants to pay for parking.

We have friends who have asked where to eat close to the airport. When we tell them they have to pay for parking downtown they go elsewhere. Kiosks are too confusing for them.

Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.

Glad to see green zone in front of Grand Leader Deli.

Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion.

Rachael Higgins.
