• Item 6e FEMA Wildfire Grant
The FEMA wildfire grant provides “$372,575 (less a $75,000 match) designated to the City of Belmont and $287,575 (less a $90,900 match) designated to the City of San Bruno.” Why is the matching percentage different? Belmont has to match 20% of their portion and we have to match 32% of our portion.
o RESPONSE: The City of San Bruno is matching a higher amount of 32% for the FEMA Pre-Disaster Mitigation Frant for wildfire mitigation work because the City originally requested a higher grant amount that would have required a 20% City match. The approved grant amount was reduced, but FEMA did not reduce the City’s required contribution, so it increased by 20% to 32%.
