SAN BRUNO CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.
2. ROLL CALL
Councilmembers Alvarez, Hamilton, Salazar, Vice Mayor M. Medina and Mayor R.
Medina were all present.

Mayor R. Medina led the pledge.

5. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENT ATIONS
a. The Annual Spring Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast Is Scheduled for Saturday, April 12th beginning at 10:00 am. Visit sanbruno.ca.gov/activityguide for More Information on This Event and Other Recreation Programming
b. The Spring Community Clean-Up Event with Recology is happening on Saturday, April 26th from 8:00-11:00 am at 975 Sneath Lane. San Bruno residents are invited to bring unwanted bulk items to this self-service drop-off event. Each household may dispose of up to 3 cubic yards of materials.
c. The Spring Compost Giveaway with Recology is happening on Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th from 8:00-11 :OO am at Lions Field. Residents are welcome to take home a free bucket of compost to help enrich their gardens. This is a self-service event - please bring your own bucket. One 5-gallon bucket per resident.

b. Approve Accounts Payable for March 24, 2025 and April 1, 2025 c. Accept Payroll for March 23, 2025
d. Consider Adoption of Resolution Approving the Special Event Permit with the Temporary Road Closure of Various Streets in Conjunction with the Annual Posy Parade, Subject to Conditions of Approval; and Waiver of Fees Associated with Required City Permits and City Personnel
e. Consider Adoption of a Resolution Amending City of San Bruno Financial Policies for Award of Contract, Cost Recovery, Expense Reimbursement, Debt Management, Fund Balances, and Investments

7. PUBLIC HEARING(S)
a. Hold a Public Hearing to Consider Adoption, Reading by Title Only and Waiving a Further Reading of an Ordinance Entitled "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of San Bruno Adopting by Reference Chapter 4.98 of the San Mateo County Ordinance Code (Tobacco Retailer Permit); Repealing and Replacing in its Entirety San Bruno Municipal Code Chapter 6.52 (Tobacco Retailer Permit) in Connection with such Adoption; and Finding the Amendment Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act"
Community Development Director Peter Gilli presented the item to the City Council.

8. CONDUCT OF BUSINESS
a. Provide Scope Direction on Fiscal Year 2025-26 City Council Priorities Director of Administrative Services & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Nick Pegueros, Interim Police Chief Susan Manheimer, Interim Principal Special Projects Manager Pamela Antil, and Public Works Deputy Director Hae Won Ritchie presented the item to the City Council and answered questions.

City Manager Alex D. Mclntyre provided comments and answered questions.

Community Seivices Director Travis Karlen answered questions.
The City Council meeting recessed at 8:43 pm and reconvened at 8:51 pm.
The City Council provided staff scope and direction for fiscal year 2025-26 City Council Priorities.

Consider placing on a future agenda a discussion about the formation of an ad-hoc subcommittee to investigate potential partnerships and opportunities to work with the San Bruno Parks School District to better serve the San Bruno community Vice Mayor M. Medina introduced the item to the City Council.
Item will be agendized for a future meeting.
